Richard Rieser is an international consultant on inclusion and disability equality. He is the author of many publications on disability equality in the education system; provides training for local authorities and schools throughout the country; represented the UK disability movement in the negotiations which led to the UN Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities; is the author of Implementing Inclusive Education published by the Commonwealth Secretariat in 2008; and has recently been commissioned by the Qualifications and Curriculum Development Authority (QCDA) to collect examples of the ways that schools are currently bringing disability into the curriculum in all subjects and at all key stages.
